Our Trip update 1

We set off last Sunday for our USA 2008 adventure!! We had a long flight to New York and didn't arrive till about 11pm as the airport had been closed because of a storm. We spent Monday and Tuesday pounding the pavements and seeing and feeling the city that is New York. It certainly is a unique place with 13000 yellow cabs constantly honking their horns and people everywhere 24/7. We had a great time. There was a heat wave on in NY on our visit so it got pretty hot out there. We enjoyed visitng central park - green relief in a city of tar and cement. The architecture and detail in the buildings is beautiful. Our first stop was the Empire State Building, then we took a tour to downtown and went to the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island Time Square Trinity Church and Wall St area.
